Jonathan Foreman argues that not defending Georgia would be disastrous. I agree. He says we don't have to actually fight for them. I'm not so sure. They fought for us; how can we not fight for them?
Update: It's certainly true that it would be very difficult for us to engage in combat there given the geographical issues involved. At the rate things are going, it seems unlikely there will even be a Georgia by the time we could move many troops any way.
Still, I can't help but thinking we should be doing SOMETHING.
