During our severe weather warnings last week, one of our first-year staff, clearly coming into his own, sent out this e-mail:

Tornado Warning Procedures

In the event of a tornado, please follow the procedure described below:

Place a #15 concrete cinder block in lap

1. Place one brick on the monitor and one on any work you are doing.
2. Continue working and press on.

In the event of a power outage, please grab several batteries from Lisa’s office and hook them up to the computer power supply.

You may pick up your cinder block and two bricks in the break room.

PS.  If you are inadvertently sucked up into the tornado, you will need to come in extra this weekend to get the pass-through entities out.
