During the lead up to the war in Iraq, it seemed like a lot of conservatives and libertarians had jumped on the Andrew Sullivan bandwagon. As Sullivan has become increasingly a)anti-war, b) anti-Bush, and c) anti-common sense that that has started to reverse itself. Often because of incidents like the one mentioned at InstaPundit today.
I can't say the reversal bothers me, but some people (and I'm not naming names, nor implying that Glenn Reynolds is one of them) seem surprised by Sullivan's re-transformation. I'm at a loss as to why this might be. Sullivan has been flaky for as long as I can remember. I never understood why the right was so keen to bring him into the fold in the first place. Yes, lots of people seem to listen to Sullivan, but that doesn't do you any good unless you have some idea of what he's going to say next.
