I've been pulled out of line at the airport for my pocket knife. I've seen the bags of 3 year olds searched at the Smithsonian. So how on earth did this guy get a knife into the Department of Agriculture?
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal employee was stabbed Tuesday inside the U.S. Agriculture Department in downtown Washington, a department spokesman said, in what seemed to have been a dispute between acquaintances. The employee was stabbed with a knife in the USDA's South building, a sprawling block-long building across the street from the USDA administration building on the National Mall, USDA spokesman Ed Loyd said.
Ummm ... I'm not exactly impressed. Fortunately the injured employee doesn't seem to be great danger, but there's no way this should have been possible.
