The last few days at work I've been having trouble seeing at my computer at work. The office is the only place I seem to have a problem and even then it is only my computer that's giving me problems. I went to the optometrist this morning, having made an appointment a few minutes after I started having problems again. The doctor said there's nothing wrong with my eyes (I still have perfect vision, YAY!) so it's got to be something environmental. He gave me some suggestions on things to change in my office and told me to buy some high quality sun glasses because my eyes are very sensitive to light and sent me on my way.
However, while he was examining me he dilated my eyes. He said, "Your short-range vision will be shot for a couple of hours." THAT was a bit of an understatement. Not only was my short-range vision shot for 4 or 5 hours, but my head's been swimming all day. I went home for an early lunch hoping to lay down for a while and let it pass. About 2 I called the office and said, "Well, if someone can come get me (cause there was NO way I was driving in that condition) then I can try to get some work done. My boss said, "Why don't you just stay home. I don't think you're getting anything done in that condition."
He was probably right. It's only now starting to clear up. There went a perfectly good day.
Oh well. I at least got a really good nap in.
