What follows are my general impression about some of the more egregious problems with the Republican and Democratic parties in relation to the Constitution.
1. The Republicans act like the 9th Amendment has no meaning.
2. The Democrats act like the 9th Amendment can magically grant whatever right that they happen to desire.
3. Neither party would recognize the 10th Amendment if it walked up behind them and slapped them on the head.
4. Both parties assume that the Commerce Clause allows them to do whatever they like at the Federal level as long as they can come up with a tentative connection to show that it's "related" to interstate commerce. The fact that this interpretation would largely obviate huge swaths of the text doesn't seem to bother them at all.
Now of course there are plenty of other problems with both parties, but these are the ones that really irk me and no one else seems to care about.
