Note that you are talking about the ultra liberal mainline Presbyterian (PC-USA), not the bibically sound breakoff Presbyterian (PCA).

As already pointed out, the PCA broke off from the USA line due to growing theological differences. It should be noted that the Evangelical Presbyterian (EPC) also adhere to a conservative interpretation of scripture.
In 1921 a book called "Christianity & Liberalism" by J. Gresham Machen was written. Dr. Machen was challenging the liberal fallacies of the day (which he notes began 100 yrs prior) and shows the strengths of orthodox Christianity. Dr. Machen accurately protrays a church once it embraces liberalism and it looks just like the PC-USA (amongst others).
