So, having nothing better to do I've got this American Idol special on. They were interviewing Paula Abdul and she was talking about how she always feels the need to to say something positive when she has something critical to say. The only thing I could think to say was, "When is that?"
I realize that I haven't watched this show much until recently, and I haven't been able to see every week, but still I have never ever seen Paula say anything remotely critical. She doesn't always tell people there wonderful (although she usually does), but something really critical? No. Doesn't happen.
And then she and Seacrest start talking about why Simon never gives constructive criticism. That's insane. Simon is really the only one that offers genuine construtive criticism. That is to say he's the only one who says look, this was horrible but here's how you can fix it. The problem is that about 5 seconds after he opens his mouth, the crowd usually drowns them out. (Often with Paula and Randy leading the way.)
Arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
