I saw this Wizard of Id comic today and thought it worth commenting on.
Mankind is a fallen race. As such there will always be conflict and war. The only questions to be answered is when they will be fought and what side you will be on.
For some reason, however, vast numbers of people have lost sight of this basic truth. The only way to avoid war in all circumstances is to cave in to evil. Sometimes there is simply no choice but to fight.
It's tragic, yes. But it's true.
