OK, I've been considering getting a DVR system of some type. I use cable, not satellite. If anyone has suggestions on brands or services, please drop a note in the comments section.

you use cable, but are you absolutely stuck to it? dish network has a free install deal w/ the DVR 522 (which allows recording 2 channels while watching another and PIP). you have to sign up for a year w/ $40/mo minimum (it may be $30, but you have to pay $40 to get FoxSports, and the Stars are on FSW, so it's a no-brainer for this hockey chick).
that's my .02.
