I've made no secret of the fact that I've been deeply disturbed by President Bush's almost complete abandonment of conservative principles on the domestic front. The only real reason I can see to vote for him is that he's always taken the war seriously and John Kerry clearly doesn't. However, in recent days I've started to have my doubts about him as well.
And I'm apparently not the only one who's worried. Michael Rubin is really taking Bush and Blair to task for abandoning the precepts of the Bush Doctrine. I think he's got an excellent point.
If this keeps up I'm going to have trouble coming up with a reason to vote for Bush. Unfortunately, there's really no other realistic options.
