An excellent line from the President about John Kerry's flips and flops:
Campaigning in the pivotal state of Florida 10 days before Election Day, Bush lambasted Kerry for criticizing the Iraq invasion despite his prewar vote to authorize force there and his warnings about the danger of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein (news - web sites).
"The senator used to recognize that Saddam Hussein was a gathering threat who hated America," Bush told thousands of supporters at a baseball park in Fort Myers.
He said Kerry "seems to have forgotten all that" and suggested the Massachusetts senator had adapted his views for political gain.
"As his position has evolved during the course of the campaign, you might call it election amnesia," the president said.
