Heh

Joel Fuhrman has an interesting comment on the ACLU:

Any group that doesn't believe that the Second Amendment to the US Constitution gives me a right to own a gun is not qualified to tell me what a tyrannical government looks like.

Full disclosure: When I first read this I laughed out loud.

However, his larger point that the ACLU's arguments should be immediately discounted because the organization's stance on some issues is absurd is probably taking things to far. Just because someone is radically wrong a lot of the time doesn't mean that you shouldn't listen to them at all. After all, every dog has his day.

Right. I haven't actually viewed the ACLsUes position against the various Ridge/Ashcroft police state initiatives, I only know that the ACLU is against said robbery of freedoms. And, for once, I find myself in a position to agree with them.
